An art exhibition that inspires sustainability

Art is a communication tool to encourage viewers to reflect on their own role in society and the environment during “Adaptation: The Coexistence Of Trace And Transformation”, which is running at Noble Play, until Jan 26 next year.
The exhibition depicts the evolution of an expanding metropolis through the most recent work of Wishulada Panthanuvong, an environmental artist who challenges conventional thinking by transforming waste materials into valuable artworks.
The environment bears witness to transformations due to human activity and urbanisation. Despite the damage, Wishulada turns the rubble into a beacon of hope, with the inscription “Trace”, while the message “Transformation” from past mistakes seeks to guide people away from destructive habits and towards a more sustainable way of life.
Both the artist and Noble Play share a common goal to enhance environmental awareness, encourage the use of waste resources, and develop the environment through this show.
Created from a variety of construction waste materials, the artworks challenge conventional wisdom about “worthless things that everyone overlooks”. Viewers are encouraged to think about the complex interactions between humans, the environment and the metropolis; and delve into the underlying significance of adaptability and sustainable cohabitation in a fast-changing world.
The artist creates works through questioning and discovery to inspire people to remember the lessons of past unfriendly environmental actions, adapt their way of life, be conscious of how to make the best use of available resources, and collaborate to create a sustainable future.
Noble Play is a creative space located on Phloenchit Road. It’s open daily from 8am to 5pm. There is no admission fee.
